Production Worker

We are looking for qualified Production Workers for the manufacturing and packaging of DuraLife brand of composite decking and railing. Job duties include, but are not limited to monitoring and operating composite extrusion equipment, conducting in-line and post production quality inspections to detailed product specifications, completing periodic mechanical maintenance of equipment as needed, performing data calculations, quality controls, record keeping, recording of process data and manufacturing records for processes, parts and materials. 

General Description

  • Must be mechanically inclined and good with hand tools.
  • Be able to learn how to prep and assemble units
  • Must be able to read and understand the weekly schedule and production run sheet
  • Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed
  • Ability to work on feet for prolonged periods of time in a fast paced environment
  • Able to follow instruction
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to complete repetitious work
  • Ability to rotate 12 hour shifts

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assure that work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards
  • Maintain a constant visual on parts and supplies stored on the shop floor
  • Notify purchasing of low stock items
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Work as part of the team
  • Follow all company rules and policies
  • Follow all safety rules and OSHA requirements
  • Assure that all products are built to the highest standard of quality
    • Ability to follow all SOP’s for production
    • Ability to read specialty tools designed for production
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Schedule vacation so that department remains functional
  • Reports to: Shift lead / Plan Manager

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Prior Fork Truck Training preferred
